Hello. I’m James McIntosh and knitting saved my life.
At 35, I was diagnosed with a moderately severe depressive episode. The only way I could control my panic attacks and anxiety was by knitting. I realised that knitting was a form of mindfulness, which I call ‘knititation’. I started to get better by practising knititation, I chose a life in colour. McIntosh was born to share the wellness benefits of ethical and sustainable knitting with everyone. My depression hasn’t returned, I knit everyday.
